Why recognise and record in Broad General Education?
It is vitally important that we have recognised and recorded the skills, abilities and achievements we have in order to be successful beyond school. Many professions expect their employees to record what they do and the experience they gain from it. By starting this process early in our secondary education, it will become second nature to think about what our achievements are and record them. The intention is, that by the time pupils reach the Senior Phase, they will have a bank of achievements they can build upon looking forward to their future choices - in subjects and courses in school, but also life and careers beyond. Time is given in school through PSE, and ABC classes to think about achievements and note these down.
